Harvest Community Church Breaks Ground

Harvest Community Church Breaks Ground

(November 10, 2011) Harvest Community Church (formerly Zion Chapel) recently broke ground in celebration of a new addition to its facility on CR 34 in Goshen.  The new space will meet the growing demands of the congregation's ministries that serve the community as well as the church.

Those ministries include Celebrate Recovery, an effective solution to hurts, habits, and hang-ups, and MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) that serves over 40 young mothers, mostly from outside the church.  "We are very eager to have additional space for our life-changing ministries.  Over the past few years, our ministries have continued to expand beyond our current available space, and we are excited to see more people benefit from our ministries through this addition," says Senior Pastor, Steve Chupp.

The 6,300 sq. ft. addition will house meeting rooms, new offices, and storage space.  It will be a wood-framed, single-story structure that wraps around the current octagonal sanctuary.  Additionally, the foyer and auditorium will be renovated and updated.  The projected completion date is April 2012.  The church is partnering with DJ for the project.
