Goshen Center for Wound Healing Project Complete

(March 1, 2010) Goshen Health System partnered wtih DJ Construction to create the new spaces for Goshen Center for Wound Healing and the adjacent offices of Gerig Surgical Associates, located in the old Park Pharmacy building just south of Goshen College along State Road 15.

The original building underwent a complete renovation involving 10,100 square feet.  Changes included an extensive facelift of the facade and enlarged windows.  Demolition materials were recycled throughout the project.  Major interior renovations created two separate suites, one for the wound center and one for the Gerig office space.  Each has its own lobby and point of entry.

Several "green" elements were incorporated into the building design and construction process.  According to DJ Project Manager Dan Jacobs, these included efforts to conserve energy through efficient lighting and heating and cooling systems as well as the use of low-emission and recycled materials throughout the building.

An open house was held to celebrate the opening of the Goshen Center for Wound Healing in January.  Gerig Surgical Associates is also now open.
