(January 4, 2012) Elkhart Calvary Assembly of God has a new cafe and foyer area at its 1010 E. Mishawaka Road facility with the completion of a renovation project. DJ Construction was the general contractor for the project, and Arkos Design of Niles was the architect.
The renovation involved 8,278 square feet and included a new welcome center and new restrooms in addition to the cafe and foyer upgrades. The church's goal in the project was to make its facility a better reflection of its culture with a friendlier and more welcoming appearance.
Lead Pastor Brian Whidden says he is pleased with the completed project. "The entire team put together by DJ Construction was professional and pleasant to work with. They caught our vision for the project and brought it to life. The newfound energy that we are experiencing in our foyer because of our decision to incorporate our Sacred Grounds Cafe is a breath of fresh air. It has truly become a sacred place to build relationships," he states.
Elkhart Calvary Assembly of God is a multicultural, multigenerational church with a passion to see the love of God communicated in the surrounding area and to the world at large. Weekly activities include the Sunday Morning Experience at 10 am, Wednesday Night Gathering at 7pm, and the Hispanic Service Sundays at 5pm. All are encouraged and invited to attend.
